Originally intended as a compilation to unite those of us who are against the current rise in Worldwide Fascism-especially here in the United States-devolved into a split between two, talented, and amazing noise artists: sincode and Tab In / Tab Out.

When I say The “Good American”, it’s a play on words from the origin term: The “Good German”. What do I mean by that? During World War 2, the “Good German”-as defined by Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_German)-is:

“A term referring to German citizens during and after World War II who claimed not to have supported the Nazi regime, but remained silent and did not resist in a meaningful way.[1][2] The term further denotes those who claimed ignorance of the Holocaust and German war crimes. Despite these claims, post-war research has suggested that a large number of ordinary Germans were aware of the Holocaust at least in general terms: captive slave laborers were a common sight; the public knew Jews were being deported to Poland; and the basics of the concentration camp system, if not the extermination camps, were widely known. While there is some controversy as to its exact meaning, the term "Good Germans" is therefore usually used to signify passivity by ordinary Germans in the face of widespread crimes against humanity.

Despite the Nazi regime's efforts to keep the mass murder of Jews a secret and destroy any evidence of mass killings, hundreds of thousands of Germans were involved to some extent in the genocide: participating in the killings directly; guarding and administering the camps where Jews and others were systematically murdered and worked to death; and providing support from both the civil and military authorities which facilitated the machinery of genocide.”

Unfortunately, since ‘Sewer Election 2016’ (until current), there have been an increased rise in ‘American Fascism’, no thanks to the so-called elected, populist ‘Murican (President) Donald Trump. This loyalty-which the ‘orange thug’, not only demands, but mandates of his supporters and the Republican Party (GOP)-borders on fanaticism. Hence, the “Good American”. And, the Sheeple willingly complies, WITHOUT CRITICAL THINKING OR QUESTIONING THAT LOYALTY!

Both the ‘Good German’ and the ‘Good American’ have frighteningly, similar parallels. Loyalty is one thing; blind, unfettered, and vociferous loyalty to political leaders and country sets a dangerous tone that, if unchecked, can lead to what happened during World War 2!

You can rationalize, justify, and tell yourselves that such heinous attitudes and crimes are impossible to happen, again. That is where you’re wrong! That is not oversimplifying this matter! As the 19th/20th Century Spanish philosopher George Santayana has eloquently stated:

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." (Note: In current times, it has been translated as ‘Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.')

The “Good American” is a call for fighting fascism, sexism, racism, transphobia, homophobia, income inequality, and misogyny-not only in ‘Murica-but around the world.
